Zimmerman has struggled to find fitness during the 2024 MLS season, making just three appearances during the campaign so far. He's been dealing with a knock suffered in early March in the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Inter Miami, and just made a return off the bench last weekend against the San Jose Earthquakes. If he can find fitness — and form — ahead of this summer, there's a chance he finds himself in the picture for either the Copa America or the Paris Olympics.
The defender will look to play an important role this weekend for Nashville SC, who are struggling in MLS this season. They have just eight points through nine matches this campaign, and have not won a match since March 16.
